Match an iAdapter to Your iPad

AMDi first launched their iAdapter shortly after Apple release the first generation iPad. It was plainly clear, even at that early stage that the iPad will be a valuable assistive technology tool for people living with disabilites if it's shortcomings as a consumer electronic device can be addressed and strengthened.

Over the years, Apple have been quite proactive in making their iPad family lighter and thinner which aids with portability; improving battery life, memory and processor speeds which helps with supporting better apps and improving accessibility through updates to iOS.  As a tool for Augmentative and Alternative Communication purposes, there are still points to address being further options for portability, protection of the platform without compromising access or output and the all-important Sound Volume.

This is what AMDi first noticed over 5 years ago and that's still the case, whether it be that first generation iPad or the very latest offering from Apple and iAdapter was the key product to assist with making iPad the best AAC tool it can be.

Communicate AT have been fortunate enough to be there for the entire journey in one form or another and we can attest to the massive uptake that iPad has had in AAC circles.  What a revolution!
