DAESSY Articulating Quick Release Base

The Articulating Quick Release Base (AQRB) allows multiple angle and tilt adjustments with the ball-joint feature.

The standard face size (large) is well suited to full-size and larger communication devices or computers, the smaller quick release face is well suited for smaller communication devices, tablets or iPad or when the speech generating device's case does not allow the larger version to adequately connect with the mount plate (e.g. Tobii i-13 and i-16) 

Quick Handles - Which One Do I Need?

The standard setup of the Articulating Quick Release Base inlcudes 2 quick handles - one handle on the base for height or position adjustment along the length of mount tube and one handle on the ball joint for adjusting the rotation and tilt of the attached device.

The Articulating Quick Release Base comes with 2 Quick-Handles as default but can be supplied with bolts to covert to allen key adjustment at the points deemed not requiring a handle.

• Articulating Quick Release Base with NO Quick Handles - comes with 2 additional bolts and an allen key for replacement of both handles
• Articulating Quick Release Base with ONE Quick Handle - comes with 1 additional bolts and an allen key for replacement of the tube connection handle
• Articulating Quick Release Base with TWO Quick Handles - standard issue.

Our rule of thumb is Desk Stands and Rolling Mounts always benefit from 2 Handles. Wheelchair Mounts sometimes require a 2-Handle AQRB

Tube Diameter

There arte two versions of the The Articulating Quick Release Base.

One fits 7/8" diameter tubing and is suited to DAESSY Wheelchair Standard Mount Kits (Folding Mount, Swing-Aside Mount, Positioner Mount et al) with 7/8" or 22mm tubing, DAESSY Rolling Mounts, DAESSY Desk Mount and Clamp Desk Mount, DAESSY Vertical Desk Stand, Rehadapt FloorStands or other mounts using that tube size.

The other is 3/4" diameter and is suited to DAESSY Mini Wheelchair Mounts (Mini Folding Mount, MinI Rigid Mount etc) and DAESSY X-Base Desk Mount.
