Moving Week (continued!)

update 10/08/2020

On the first day of August in 2011, Communicate AT commenced operations and has been busily supplying assistive technology across the country ever since.

After starting on the dining table and having a small storage unit at National Storage Dee Why, we moved from the dining room to a small office at National Storage, then a bigger office when Penny came on board and then more storage units (3 in the end) and finally an extra office/meeting-room when Tara started last year. Going into our 10th year we’ve decided that although the setup at National Storage was working, it wasn’t exactly right and for us to be more responsive to your needs, especially now with the pandemic only making us busier on all fronts, we looked at our office, workspaces and layout and decided we needed to make changes that would be of benefit to supporting you, our customers.

So, we have moved.

We’re excited about the new space and we’re currently settling in unpacking boxes and setting up the offices, there’s even new work being finished by our builders to make the new premise more efficient (and there’s even a rumour it may also have an eval and display area ready for when the world resembles some sort of “normal” …)

The new address is Unit 3, 12-14 Fisher Road, Dee Why NSW 2099 so we haven’t gone far, only 1.7km down the road if you go by Google Maps.

Our main shipping day is still a Thursday and Tara (our Dispatch Clerk) gave us the "thumbs-up" on the new layout and arranagements last week, but there's additional work to do when the new stock room is finished this afternoon. I plan to get as many Mount Kit orders out the door this week as we can.

10/08/2020: Phone Update

The hardware is in place, the number transfer is in the hands of the telcos now so we wait.

It's the only aspect that is out of our control, we've moved all out comms to another provider in the new premises to takle advantge of faster everythign on NBN.

We expect that to happen this week, however have no exact timeframe on that to happen. Our phone number – 02 9971 0409 – still works and is it still active and if you would like to contact us to talk about assistive technology or the status of your current order with us, feel free, we just can’t answer it in person at present.

That means we’re relying on our message service again this week. If you leave a message for us on that service, rest assured it has been received and a time scheduled to call you back.

Thanks for your patience whilst we get dust settled in the new office.

All the best,
