Communicate AT Pty Limited is committed to maintaining your privacy as required by the Privacy and Personal Information Protection Act 1998 (NSW) (‘the Act’).

Communicate AT Pty Limited will not collect any more information than is necessary for it to fulfill its functions, nor will it disclose your personal information to anyone without your consent unless legally permitted or required to do so or it suspects you may have used the website unlawfully.

Communicate AT Pty Limited will require anyone whom it engages to collect, store or use personal information for it to comply with the information protection principles of the Act.

Communicate AT Pty Limited does not have any responsibility for the privacy policies or practices of third party sites linked to the Communicate AT website.

What information do we collect?

When you look at the pages of our website, our computers automatically record information that identifies, for each page accessed:

  • the IP (Internet Protocol) address of the machine which has accessed it

  •  your top-level domain name (for example .com, .gov, .au, .uk, etc.)

  • the address of your server

  • the date and time of your visit to the site

  • the pages accessed and documents downloaded

  • the previous site

  • the type of browser and operating system you have used

We extract aggregated information about usage patterns from this information. No attempt is made to identify users or their browsing activities except in the event of an investigation, where a law enforcement agency may lawfully inspect the service provider's logs.

Except in the circumstances as set out above, Communicate AT Pty Limited will not disclose or publish information, which identifies individual machines, or potentially identifies sub-groupings of addresses, without consent.

Communicate AT Pty Limited reserves the right to gather more extensive information than stated above in cases of any detected activity which is unauthorised and/or is or may be unlawful.

Feedback forms

We provide feedback forms on the website to allow users to ask us questions with convenience, provide valuable input into the future development of the site and to comment on the services we provide. Access to and use of the information provided to us for these purposes is restricted to the management and approved staff of Communicate AT Pty Limited. We may publish aggregated information about feedback on the site, to the extent that it does not identify or cannot be used to identify individual users.

Email address collection

  1. Generally
    If you supply an email address we may collect it to keep in our records for the purpose of communicating with you. Supplying your email address is voluntary and at times we will make it a requirement on forms for it to be complete but if you do not supply it, Communicate AT Pty Limited will not, of course, be able to communicate with you by email.
  2. Customer Service Provision
    If you have purchased product or service from Communicate AT Pty Limited and supply an email address, we may use it for the purpose of sending information to you relevant to supporting your purchase, altering you of updates to software/firmware or assisting you with it’s application.
  3. Email updates subscription services
    We only send Email updates to people who have given consent (expressed or inferred) to receive it. Once you are on one of our mailing databases, you can easily unsubscribe. Each electronic correspondence provides clear instructions on how to unsubscribe. Please advise us if you wish to unsubscribe from more than one Email updates service.

Spam

Spam is 'unsolicited commercial electronic messaging'. As part of our commitment to maintaining your privacy, we do not condone or encourage spam.

In accordance with the Spam Act 2003, we will only send commercial electronic messages with the addressee's expressed or inferred consent to receive it. Website security and personal details protection

Communicate AT take the security of your information and the security of our website seriously. We have taken steps to ensure sensitive data is protected when interacting with Communicate AT, whether that be through our website or otherwise.

Our security measures include protecting your login credentials, sales and order data and is similarly protected when passing your payment information to our merchant banking provider, Westpac Payway and any other payment providers we may use in the future. We do this by encrypting those sections of our website with an up to 256-bit encryption, 2048-bit root Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) connection.

Our website SSL certificate is issued by DigiCert (who bought GeoTrust). We have also gone the extra step to reasssure you we are who we say we are by putting in place an EV SSL Certificate - which is "extra validation". That measn we had to prove to DigiCert that we are the legal, physical and operational existance "Communicate AT pty limited, we had to show to them that is was Communicate AT that requested the EV Certification, we have the exclsuive rights to our domain name and that we have public records of our address, corporate governance, phone number and internet prescence (e.g. Google business).  You'll see the difference on our website when you are browsing a secured page or when yoiu start the checkout process.  Look to the address bar in your browser for the padlock symbol that denotes a secured page.  For sites that have not completed vetted themselves, the padlock is a simple logo. For those that have proven their identity, like Communicate AT, the padlock appears along with our company name and where we are located - Communciate AT PTY.LTD [AU]

Our site is hosted here in Australia by specialists in the web-cart software we use on our site. That means down-time is minimal, vulnerabilites mitigated quickly and as there are also small-business orientated, support on hand at all times. Security is as important to them as it is for Communicate AT.

Communicate AT saves no credit card details in hardcopy form (phone orders) or in electronic form (weborders). All credit card payments are processed by our merchant providers; Westpac Payway (www.payway.com.au) or PayPal (www.paypal.com). When purchasing on our website via credit card, you will be passed to either Westpac PayWay or PayPal via an SSL connection for credit card processing and passed back to our site when complete. At NO point will our own site (domain: communicateat.com.au) collect nor store credit card details.
