Mini Floorstand for Eye-Gaze

A new small footprint floor stand intended for people using Eye-gaze devices (up to 4kg).

The base, designed and manufactured by Mounts and More in the UK and distributed by Communicate AT, is low enough and narrow enough to enable it to go under most footrests and between most wheelchair front wheels.

This allows an eye-gaze device to be positioned close enough for use by most people with ease, stability and accuracy.

Device Attachment

This model has been designed for use with eyegaze / eye tracking devices (up to 4kg) where direct access or touch is not required. To attend to that need, this Floorstand features a DAESSY Articulating Quick Release Base (AQRB) with Large Face as standard, connected directly to the upright post. In combination with the upright post being slightly offset towards the rear, this keeps the weight of a device directly over the centre of the base. The articulating joint in the AQRB enables a device to be positioned at the precise angles to accommodate the unique positioning needs of people using eye-gaze access technologies. The Post AQRB is attached directly to the upright post and can't be removed.

Options are included to change the DAESSY AQRB Large Face for the Small Face version or to upgrade to the DAESSY Wedge AQRB. This will depend on what device adapter plate is included or required for your technology along with what other mounting systems are currently being used.

Small Footprint Base

The Mini FloorStand has a unique, small base that measures a little over 50cm long and 38cm wide. This compact base size not only takes up less floor space when in use than traditional floor stands but is also easier to store, with an inbuilt hand hold making it easy to carry with the post removed. The base's overall height is 8cm and has been designed to fit under the foot rests and between the wheels of most wheelchairs. The locking wheels are red and roll freely when not locked, the wheel support brackets have a clear anodised finish for visibility. The base is a hefty 10kg, grounding your important technology securely and providing excellent balast to ensure the mount does not tip.

Upright Post - Height Adjustment built-in

 This floor stand includes a Daessy Medium Rolling Mount Post which gives height adjustment from 87.5cm (min) to 138cm (max). The floor stand is supplied as standard with a cleverly engineered releasable adaptor for connecting the upright post to the base. This new design enables the post to be securely attached or removed in a matter of seconds. If the removable adaptor is not required, a fixed post option is available with the upright post bolted to the base. Releasable Adaptor for attaching the upright post to the base.

Carry Bags

A new carry bag has been custom designed for the Mini Floor Stand Base. In combination with a mount carry bag for the upright post, these will protect the floor stand during transport or in storage. The pair of bags also make transport simple, particularly useful if the mount will be used in more than one location or taken out for assessments. Carry Bags available as an optional extra.
