Unlike other proximity switches that require contact or very close proximity, ToFFEE uses advanced Time-of-Flight (ToF) technology to detect any opaque object, regardless of colour, material, or surface texture.
This means it works reliably with any skin tone, and is unaffected by clothing, hair, or coverings.
With a choice of 26 switch functions that have been carefully curated to work closely with the hardware and software that is commonly used, ToFFEE BT may be used in almost any situation.
Direct, Latching, One-Shot, Double Click and Delayed Drag output modes add even more possibilities, and the selectable Ignore Repeats feature compensates for tremors and prevents switch chatter.
Optional audible and visual feedback means ToFFEE BT can be made to sound just like a conventional switch.
ToFFEE BT may be mounted using industry-standard or ToFFEE-specific brackets, allowing it to be operated by almost any part of the body such as the user’s hand, arm, knee, head or even by puffing out a cheek.

Operation
The switch is powered by an internal rechargeable lithium battery which gives around 25 hours of use between charges.
Programmable power settings allow the user to select if, and when, the unit goes to sleep due to inactivity.
It may also be put to sleep manually for easy transportation.
